I wasn't expecting this much publicity 8-D I just wanted to create an avatar to use on a Maximum bulletin board. digi-box - a set-top box for watching digital TV Maximum - one of those, a PVR http://marusys.com/ Linux - (you're kidding, right?) http://www.linux.org/ GPL - The most important Free Software licence http://www.gnu.org/licenses/ Here's the beef: Maximum runs GNU/Linux but doesn't play by the rules since they don't include the licence statement with the product. Nor do they have the source code freely available. (well they released something recently, but not their own additions) Are you enlightened now ?-) |
